Wisdom Posters are Wise

We start gaining knowledge at a very early age. In fact, we gain much knowledge even before we start school at the age of five in kindergarten. In addition, many boys and girls begin their formal education with preschool. In school in addition to learning many interesting academic subjects such as reading, mathematics, social studies, English, science, geography, music, and art, we also learn many important social skills that hopefully will stand us in good stead all throughout our lifetime. In other, words, when we are going through twelve or more years of formal education, we are hopefully getting both book smarts and ‘street smarts.’ Street smarts can and often is often also called common sense.

It has been claimed that without a combination of a bit of book smarts and a bit of street smarts we will find it hard to function in society. Well, it seems that if we are truly wise and smart we will continue to gain as much knowledge every chance we get. In addition, it is important to remember that wisdom is gained through life’s experiences; therefore, hopefully, we get wiser and smarter with age. Plus, it also seems that a mark of a truly wise and smart person is that he or she possesses the wisdom to understand that he or she doesn’t know it all and that gaining knowledge is always a life long endeavor.

In fact, perhaps, the idea that we should never stop trying to gain both knowledge and wisdom should be placed on either a wisdom print or a wisdom poster. If we wish to buy either wisdom prints or wisdom posters we can locate both of them in either poster shops or art galleries. Plus, it is possible to locate both of these types of decorations in a college or university bookstore.

Did you know that many famous musicians, scientists, and philosophers are the subjects of many knowledge prints? Albert Einstein could have been a subject for a knowledge print or two. In addition, many Ancient and Modern philosophers have talked about knowledge and wisdom for centuries. In fact, Plato had many a healthy debate about what constitutes both knowledge and wisdom and just what makes a man wise using Socrates as a mouthpiece in many Ancient Greek dialogues. Therefore, Plato, not play-doh seems to be a possible candidate to be the subject of a wisdom print or wisdom poster.

In addition to philosophy and science being a source of inspiration for creating both wisdom prints and wisdom posters, art has possibly contributed to the wisdom and knowledge print and poster industry. This is because the statue called “The Thinker” is a very famous sculpture that many people whether they like art or not are familiar with every day. Therefore, it would seem likely that the sculpture of the Thinker would be the subject of either a wisdom poster or of a knowledge poster. In addition, there is a knowledge poster that claims that knowledge is power; that poster is absolutely correct.

In fact, that poster could be part of a collection of collection of common sense posters. A poster of the Thinker could also be considered a common sense print. This is because that print could inspire people to think all of the time. Plus, the world would be a better place if everybody owned at least one common sense poster.
